Thursday 13th March
A second and third in the first tip race yesterday was a bit frustrating as it broke the "find a winner" sequence but a 1-2 (and indeed 1-2-3-4-5) in The Grand Annual was a welcome return to winning form. It's very tough to find winners of Cheltenham Festival Handicaps, so to be on 4 out of 5 so far isn't too shabby.
Today we move over to the outer NEW Course. A very different test and one where my perception is we get the more surprising and bigger priced winners and placed horses. Whoever created the race schedule really needs to give their head a wobble I think, in trying to showcase The Gold Cup tomorrow, they restrict the day to a couple of handicaps and leave us with 4 hugely competitive handicaps today plus the RYANAIR and THE STAYERS races at 3.20 and 4.00.
In the Ryanair at 3.20 we have an ante post tip in 1 DJELO @ 12/1 and I think that is an excellent each way price and in the Stayers at 4.00, the old stager 1 BOB OLINGER @ 14/1 and I'm, convinced he'll run a big race.
There is a real chance you can blow your bank and winnings today so in each of the Handicaps we'll give you the TOP 4 rated (and in some cases the top 3 home runner rated) as the fields in some do look likely to be Irish dominated.
