Ascot 3.55

THE ADVISOR - Ascot 3.55 Handicap Hurdle - Class 4 - 2 miles 7 and 1/2 furlongs - 14 run - Good

A competitive Card although not the greatest quality for the Course and there are a couple at big odds that I think are worth a flutter.

Nickelfree won last time out but steps up in trip and Class and I'm happy to take it on. Much Too Dear has shown some promise but the price looks on the short side for what it's actually achieved so far. Percolator travels a fair way for this and no doubt has come for some decent ground, its win off a mark of 99 at Wetherby gives it a solid chance.

Rebel Intentions is another who will welcome some decent Going underfoot and has some decent Course and Distance form but is far from a solid investment , you could argue cases , but not compelling enough for Redbridge Rambler and Face D'Music who has some decent 3 mile P2P form and makes handicap debut.

THE BOLD THADY though looks the strongest and most confident e/w bet, solid form, nothing flashy but perfectly good enough to win here over an ideal trip, preferred Going and off a mark that is well within range.

For some shrapnel I'll side with JOHNNY B, who can most politely be described as "mercurial", when he wins he wins very impressively, when he doesn't he runs like a donkey, he's due a win though and the better ground again may help, we'll know our fate quite early on. The most impressive collateral 3 mile P2P form comes from OUTSIDE ADESA who has yet to really translate it to Rules but who will find this trip ideal. It was runner up to decent progressive horses in Woodie Flash (Olly Murphy) and New Order (Neil Mulholland) who have both earned good RPR Ratings in excess of 110 and OUTSIDE ADESA should outrun early Odds of around 20/1 here off a mark of 97.
