Cheltenham 2.50
The Albert Bartlett - 3 mile novice Hurdle
Often a race that provides pointers that you can follow for 2-3 years or more and a very competitive field of 19 go to post.
I narrowed my selections from a not so short list of 8 and of those I would fear Harry Senior (again the niggle is the well being of the Tizzard horses who seem a few % off and you can't get away with that here); Latest Exhibition who has showcased the talents of Paul Nolan but who I think is just a bit too short in the market, Thyme Hill for Hobbs and Richard Johnson, whose Bumper background doesn't look as strong as some who started in the pointing fields and RAMESES DE TEILEE who could be worth a small investment with proven stamina over hurdles and fences, if they go off too quickly and the race falls apart. That's one to back "in running" out the back of the TV with a mile to go if it looks like it in a nice rhythm.
My tips are FURY ROAD the Going just should have enough cut in it and Elliott will have prepared the horse to the minute. COBBLERS WAY for De Bromhead and Blackmore, very obvious form chances, Blackmore will fancy some of the limelight and excellent 3 mile P2P background and MONKFISH who is another who looks to have been aimed at the race by Rich Ricci and Mullins. Another race that looks like an Irish "carve up".
The Tracker would be SEMPO who was very impressive at Thurles but whose running style may just see it set the race up for one of the others and who may struggle to hang on up the hill but run a gallant place.
