Cheltenham 4.50

The Close Brothers Novice Chase over a bit over 2 and a half miles

Stamina and accurate jumping will be the order of the day here and that's the main justification for tipping HOLD THE NOTE and GALVIN

GALVIN ran well at the Festival last year finishing just out of the places and gets a master of Prestbury Park Handicaps in the sadlle in Davy Russell. Has been in against some of the most progressive Irish Horses this winter and done very well and the form of the Drinmore Novice where it finished runenr up is probably the most telling Novice Chase in the UK or Ireland all winter.

HOLD THE NOTE drops back in trip and the proven stamina is a big advantage. Unlucky in running more than once and jumping overseen by some legendary figures in the sport (Best Mate Trainer!!!) and should be primed for the day.

Of those at longer odds and more exposed I like KNIGHT IN DUBAI a lot and I think this one will be more suited to the race and conditions than his more fancied stable mate Beakstown. CHAMPAGNE COURT ran very well in The Martin Pipe here last year, has been bought along quietly this winter and done nothing wrong and one I think could outrun Odds with all Bookies going to 5th place.

I would fear the consistent Jarveys Plate in these conditions and the more fancied Imperial Aura to run well.
