Valadom will ensure a true test of stamina and is the type to nick one off the front on this type of ground but could set up the race for something else.

 

ORCHARDSTOWN CROSS and LORD SCOUNDREL appeal as the types to take advantage. Orchardstown has had 4 solid runs this season, is just above its last win mark and is a Course winner. LORD SCOUNDREL comes from an in form yard, ran an improved race last time, and not as many miles on the clock having had a break of 556 days at one point. Off a mark of 119 with a 3lbs Claim a serious each way chance.

 

Psychedelic Rock who is closely handicapped with Lord Scoundrel on last run and The Fresh Prince who is also lightly raced for its age could be serious contenders and I can't ever miss the chance for a bit of shrapnel on old HORATIO HORNBLOWER , probably the one in the race who best fits the ethos and aims of the Veteran Series and at 13 should love the day out and may still have enough to be very competitive.
