Taunton 4.10

Taunton 4.10 - Handicap Hurdle - Class 5 - 3 miles (just about) - Soft 17 run

There will be some enhanced place opportunities here and a few look interesting.

At the head of the market, Queen of The Court is more about untapped potential than proven form and you have to take stamina on trust, on the other hand UISCE UR who was a nice 12/1 winner for us on penultimate run and runner up (not tipped) last time, looks very solid, but a niglle about lack of such solid form going right handed just puts me off a bit.

Pour Une Reason has a solid each way chance but just a bit exposed to an improver and the same applies to Puzzle Cache who is up 6lbs for an all-out brace CD win last time. Would be a surprise if both weren't right in contention here but I fancy a couple at bigger odds to improve past them today.

GREAT TEMPO returns to Hurdles after a frustrating spell over Fences. It is the jumping though rather than the engine that seems at fault and if you look back at Hurdles form prior to Chasing the optimum Hurdles mark for the horse was well over 100. It won a Chase over 3 miles and 2 furlongs here before the jumping deteriorated and is by any definition "thrown in" off a hurdles mark of 84 IF confidence can be restored over the smaller obstacles. I'm sure he'll have schoold back over the hurdles and the Pipes will fancy a confidence booster ahead of a big 4 days.

BRETNEY is more about promise, Henry Daly has his string coming in to form, not unusual as the ground firms up in the Spring and this one is related to a 3 mile winner and shown some decent promise over an intermediate trip of 2 miles and 5 furlongs. If it enjoys the extra distance looks very unexposed and could outrun it's Odds.

The outsider of the field deserves a mention too , Camron De Chaillac may be regressing now but on best form should beat at least half of these home.
