THE ADVISOR - Taunton 5.10 Handicap Hurdle - Class 5 - 2 miles 3 furlongs - 15 run - Soft

 

The favourite here is Solar System, not as strong form as Lady Balko in the earlier tip race but plenty of promise and the suggestion is the win double with Lady Balko.

 

Of the remainder, the likes of Skelton, Mulholland and Honeyball Yards have as yet unproven but unexposed types coming in to handicaps with some hidden potential but as yet not clear form. Whynotnowroy showed promise for the first time last time out here but that looks a moderate race in comparison to this one and although runner up in that race, is overlooked here. Battle March ran 3rd last time over Course and Distance and is feared on that form, but it was only its 4th run in almost 3 years and the horse has clearly been a tough one to keep fit, so the fear of the "bounce" in form just puts me off. 

 

A couple with some half decent past form come off breaks, Our Dylan for the Woolacott team is off a 192 day break and may be one to TRACK for summer jumping and 11 year old now BEAU HAZE who was a very consistent performer in this Grade around these parts makes a welcome return off a break of 673 days, best watched today but any signs that the form is still there would be another one to note for the summer jumping scene.

 

I am most keen on TALIMAR PEARL, a 3 times runner up whose mark has just dropped below 100 and one who should be very competitive and capable of that elusive win for the Tizzards. GETUPTHEYARD was promising over Course and Distance last time out and there is no doubt that this progressive 5 year old could improve again for fitness and experience and be a live contender here.

 

At bigger odds to enhance places, JUST GO FOR IT is an 11 year old now but solid in these conditions and has proven form and stamina over further than this and off a reducing mark should be competitive. The Pipes move LOCK OUT back from Fences to Hurdles at a nice each way price and this one had some promising 3 mile P2P form and earlier Hurdles form and could nick a place here on the best of those efforts.
