This is a competitive race with a few who are more than capable of winning on a going day, it's just a case with many of them as to when they want to put the effort in. 

 

If you want to have a small loose change bet on one at a big price here then ROCKYS TREASURE is worth closer inspection. David Bass rides for Kim Bailey and I just wonder if they may try to make the jump and run prominently to stoke some enthusiasm and rhythm in to a horse who has mixed in much higher Class 2 and 3 company in the past but who seems to have gone sour. It's last win was off a mark of 138 in December 2020 so off a mark of 120 here on its easiest assignment since then at the Odds, its worth a small side bet to the selections.

 

Good Man Vinnie was a real prospect before a 3 year injury break, it's not really discovered that form but it's best of 5 runs off a mammoth break was here and that's worth flagging up. Frau Georgia is back after a break, its best form was a win off a mark of 100 at Perth, I'll be adding that today to the Summer Jumping tRacker but will watch today. Hard To Forget who is very inconsistent and who may be in the grip of the handicapper off 118 and Premier D'Troice who may find this trip a bit on the short side, are both "tracker horses - see below" , who I fear but not confident enough to tip today.

 

LORD GETAWAY is interesting at a price if sharp enough off a 3 month break which has no doubt been to keep away from deeper winter ground. The form of its penultimate run was very well franked at the weekend and its been runner up on last 2 visits to this track off marks of 110 and is a very appealing price IF its fit enough, and I'm happy to take that chance at the price.

 

At the top end of the market, KIlbrook has a good chance but I'm not 100% convinced at this trip which may stretch it, Captain biggles makes its Chase debut after a wind operation and could be anything; and Larkberrow lad does deserve a win but can run a bit one paced and tends to find one who wants the win a bit more too often for my liking. At the prices I think one who may want it more and who is ready to strike is YOUNG OFFENDER who runs off its last winning mark of 115, will be suited by the better ground and may just get it before rain arrives from tonight, and who has also won with the aids it wears today.
