Warwick 3.05

THE ADVISOR - Warwick 3.05 Class 4 - Handicap Hurdle - 2 miles 5 furlongs - 20 run - soft

An interesting field with a few having first handicap run where something is likely to have been hidden under a bushel, and some having first run back off a 2 - 3 month break and may need the run and have future plans in mind.

I narrowed it down to 7 who I was most interested in. ARCTIC GOLD has taken the short trip from the Twiston-Davies to Fergal O'Brien yard, O'Brien is a superb Trainer and the break and move of stables should be no excuse, indeed can re-invigorate a horse. At around 5/1 in a field of this size it really is win saver/each way banker material and I will stake that way accordingly as it's hard to leave out of final calculations.

Defuture Is Bright is a very nice prospect, one I will track after today but my reason for not investing any money today is that so far all best form has been right handed and not sure it'll really be suited to this track. Larcadio is a 3 mile P2P winner and gets it's best chance since as been running over 2 miles and 2 miles 3 furlongs. Interesting they had a run here last time out and i just wonder if that is a bit of a handicap plot?. Certainly one to keep a very close eye on. THOR CASTLE is also a 3 mile P2P winner has a placed run here for Emma Lavelle and that just gives it the preference over Larcadio. The other one who should be bang in contention is Sandymount Rose whose 84 day break may just catch up with it in the final furlong.

My tip though is the 2019 winner of one of the Divisions of this race AVANTGARDIST who looked to be running in to a bit of form last time for Henry Oliver and who has James Davies in the saddle. Runs off a very nice mark here and the Yard/Trainer are "very streaky" and worth following when hot and seem to be coming in to one of those sequences. Will be very disappointing if not placed at least to enhanced place Odds on offer.

For the TRACKER and ahead of Larcadio and Thor Castle is JUST SO COOL , 3rd here in 2019 off a mark of 112, runs off a mark of 110, David Dennis yard have had a terrible time most of the winter with horses off colour, not exactly firing yet but a winner in last week or so and signs of a return to health and fitness. ST-D is a notable booking always for the yard and the Course form is most intersting.

TIP - Avantgardist - 1 point each way @ 14/1  TRACKER - Just So Cool - 1/2 point each way @ 25/1 (E/W Banker - Arctic Gold @ 6/1) = nice T/C perm and if any n/r's look at Thor Castle and Larcadio in that order.
