THE ADVISOR - Wincanton 2.00 Amateur Jockey Handicap Hurdle - 2 miles 5 and 1/2 furlongs - 10 run - Soft

At the top end of the market both Banteer for Paul and Olive Nicholls and Regal Renaissance for Henry Daly look strong but the Nicholls horse makes handicap debut and the Daly horse has a 7lbs penalty, so enough "if's" for us to look elsewhere. Stanley Pinecombe has form of 2-1-2 off marks of 97 to 105, up to 108 here the trip might just be beyond optimum and softening ground would definitely be a concern too.Seasett from the Shark Hanlon team gets just a 4lbs penalty for a win at Carlisle over 2 miles and 3 furlongs, this is a very different sort of track though, so we'll watch with interest but both Stanly P and Seasett are feared.

Odins Quest has been staying on over 2 miles but this is a significant hike in trip with little evidence as to how successful it may be until it has tried and Fautinette may be the dark horse of the field for Venetia Williams, very successful in France, quite highly tried here with no real signs of success but a rapidly falling mark and a horse that may soon find the right level to showcase the French form and gain in confidence.

The strongest each way pair though I feel are THE BOMBER LISTON who would surely be half the price but for the Henderson Yard illness concerns, a few have started to run better in the past few days and this one is certainly handicapped to go very close and I'm happy to take a chance as it's a Yard that will surely be having a glut of winners once the bug fully passes. HONNEUR D'ANJAC has a Course win over fences off a mark off 127 at this trip, returned back to hurdles last time with a solid effort and really does look well handicapped after that sighter over the smaller obstacles off a mark of 117 with a 7lbs Claim on ground that suits for an in form Yard.
