Cheltenham 2.50 + 5.30

Cheltenham 2.50 Albert Bartlett - Novice Hurdle - 3 miles - 20 run
(The Advisor for UK / Michael for Ireland)

Plenty of enhanced places although this is NOT a handicap so mainstream media will only show the first 3 home.

The Advisor - Again this looks a very strong race for the Irish contingent on St Patricks Day.

I thought that of the home contingent that Thomas Mor who is in the Tracker would really need to be on Good ground to have a genuine chance here and I'll wait for another day. The only pair to really flag up with confidence but who should outrun generous Odds stacked against the Irish money are STAY AWAY FAY whose old collateral form stacks up quite well against a few of these though Shanbally Kid one of the Irish runners and SAINT PALAIS who looks very exposed but that exposed form suggests that conditions will suit and if anything is going to come from the big priced end of the market for the home side it could be this one.

Michael - an embarrassment of riches here really and hard to leave out the likes of Three Card Brag who is a relentless galloper but yet to be exposed to this trip, Shanbally Kid also gets upped in trip, Montys Star looks to have a very bright future but may need another year and the same applies to Embassy Gardens , Hiddenvalley Lake and Corbetts Cross. If there is a more exposed dark Irish horse it may be the injury plagued  FAVOURI DE CHAMPDOU whose form when fit is very solid.

My other selections would be LETSBECLEARABOUTIT whose form is also more exposed than some but who will surely love a 3 mile slog through the mud and whose price looks very generous on proven as opposed to potential form and SEARCH FOR GLORY who is another who may lack the long term potential of some I've named but who may just be the type for the conditions today. One thing I think is for sure is that a lot of horses who finish out of the places here WILL BE future Festival winners.

TIPS - (1) Favouri De Champdou / (2) Letsbeclearaboutit / (3) Search For Glory / (4) Stay Away Fay / (5) Saint Palais

Cheltenham 5.30 - Martin Pipe Conditional Jockey Handicap Hurdle
( Robin for UK / Michael for Ireland)

I'm awaiting the detailed analysis from Robin and will put that in the Members Paddock asap...but his principle selections are - West To The Bridge / No Ordinary Joe and Impulsive One in that order of preference, he also flagged up Mollys Ollys Legend at big odds against the boys.

Michael - this is the annual "get out race" and the most confident pick for me with some good form and proven stamina at further and a long term Tracker for the race is COOL SURVIVOR, I can't find any chink really to oppose this one. IMAGINE too looks very strong and hard to oppose and although this one is upped in trip everything suggests it will improve for it.

Haxo was added to the Tracker after a nice win at Punchestown but I'm not sure conditions will suit this ex Flat horse, there are then a number with solid claims like Au Fleur who had a sighter in this last year, Firm Footings who is another upped in trip and an home pair who I fear too in Irish Hill and Iroko. If there is an Elliott one at a big price like Defi Bleu it's got to be FELIX DESJY!. I also would find it hard to leave out SPIRIT OF LEGEND whose Autumn form reads very strong!

TIPS (1) Cool Survivor / (2) Imagine / (3) Felix Desjy / (4) Spirit of Legend / (5) West To The Bridge / (6) No Ordinary Joe
