A significant number of these are not proven at the trip, several may improve for it, a few have some P2P form and in that category it may be worth keeping an eye on, Bloodstone, Bronson In Blue, Handsworth, Siberian Star and Sol Cowboy for any signs of improvement over the trip as that will make them worthy on tracing forwards. I can find reasons why all of them might take a hand today but not compelling enough to invest.

 

Fierami is favourite coming out quickly for the Elliott yard, trip and ground concerns don't make it an investment option for me today at rather cramped Odds, Hoke Colburn did the business for me over Fences in December, reverts to hurdles and was oK over 3 miles on Good ground in the UK but at the likely odds I think a danger rather than one I'd want to have any cash on today. Kilandra has won a 3 mile P2P, kept to 2 to 2 1/2 miles since, has an obvious chance and the one I fear the most to my 2 selections in the race.(lets make it reserve if a n/r on that basis)

 

GLENABO BRIDGE returns from a short break, won at Punchestown in soft going off 93 over 3 miles, runs off 99 here with a 3 lbs claim and looks sure to run well and shouldn't need it off a relatively short absence that came after a gruelling sequence in heavy Going late last year and in to early January.

 

OHEREWEGO is one I've tipped a few times this season and yet to deliver anything tangible but the key to unlock some profit may well be the better Going, was runner up at Listowel and won at Tipperary in 2019 in similar conditions over a trip off 97 and 100 and can run prominently and get the fractions right, looks very well handicapped off 99 and looking for an improved performance here.

A moderate race where it's not hard to find chinks in the top 4 in the market.

 

It's Only a Number is up 12lbs for a win at Down Royal that looked OK but not to warrant that kind of rise in the weights, Optical Confusion has proven to be better over hurdles than fences so far, Sidetracked is a brother of Cue Card, other than that has shown little of his brothers ability and returns off a 118 day break and Krisquin who won this in 2020 off 79, runs off 91 and has been moderate since.

 

The White Volcano is a horse with a chance, placed at the trip but carries a whopping 12 stones 7lbs in weight, will deserve all the plaudits if winning with that on its back. Likeable Chancer has some moderate hurdle form but does get the trip and could run well at a price as could Super Citizen who has won a 3 mile P2P race and runner up over this sort of trip in a Hunter Chase. If you want a bit of shrapnel at big odds Super Citizen would be the one.

 

The pair that stand out are CASMARI ABBEY placed in that carnage of a race where I tipped Owl Creek Bridge at big odds to win, Casmari Abbey was one who suffered in the melee and got bumped around again later in the race, stayed on for 3rd and in my Tracker since. Could get a nice tow in to this race and be a big factor with luck in running.

 

ROCK ON BARNEY has won over 3 miles off a mark of 93, so proven stamina, runner up over 20 furlongs off 99 and looks a strong each way price on that basis.
