A mixture of snow and rain this week and likely very tough conditions.

 

Very few have any proven form at the trip or further, with one standout exception!

 

At the top of the market, Young Dev is in good form but is a bit of a Navan specialist where it won last time and unproven beyond 3 miles, Elliott runs So Des Flos and Cavalry Master, who was runner up at 40/1 over a mile shorter last time and neither have proven form either beyond 3 miles. Wheres Frankie is probably the best chance outside of the 2 selections but not great e/w value at 5/1.

 

I'm most keen of those upped in trip on PICTURES OF HOVE for Ted Walsh, the mark and weight are positives here, the Going won't be an excuse and it has run well enough to 3 miles and 2 furlongs to suggest it could and should cope with the extra distance here.

 

At big odds currently though, I think this could be the day for FIVEAFTERMIDNIGHT, it got the vast majority of the 4 miles plus in the Scottish National last year and has also run well at this specific trip a few times and well worth some shrapnel on that basis.
