Naas 2.30
NAAS 2.30 Leinster National - Handicap Chase - 3 miles 1 furlong - Soft to Heavy - 16 run
A lot of deadwood in here I feel.
The O'Brien pair of Speak Easy and Smoking Gun have disappointed all year, may revive at some point but they may simply not be as good as we thought they may become from Novice wins and good runs, wouldn't totally rule either out but really we need to see something solid from both and soon.
Dounikos showed a glimmer of a return to form last time but was Pulled Up in this race last year and remains to be seen what the temporary new regime at Elliott yard has on some of these seemingly sour old Chasers. Another that could pop up but on the balance of probability not to be trusted.
Scoir Mear is a solid Chaser but probably better over a shorter trip and Rockys Silver could be a bit of a plot horse for the Dullea yard but not particularly well handicapped if it is.
It looks like Mullins has a nap hand with CLASS CONTI and Saturnas, of the pair I prefer Class conti but think a reverse forecast is a solid investment as I prefer both to Top Ten.
I'll give a final chance to FITZHENRY out of form all season after such an excellent run in previous season, has a course win, mark has fallen a litten, Rachel Blackmore gets the leg up and in a field a lot less deep than many of its runs this season, surely up for running a place at least.
TIP - Class Conti / TRACKER - Fitzhenry (reverse Forecast CLASS CONTI and Saturnas).
