Hereford 3.40

ROBIN - Hereford 3.40 Mares Handicap Hurdle - 2 miles 3 and 1/2 furlongs - 13 run - Soft

The obvious one if you want a win saver is the in-form ONLY FOOLS for the Pipe team with wins off marks of 75 up to 82 it now runs off 89 here but very much the one they all have to beat.

If a drop in trip suits After Many Days it will have increased chances, however a few appeal more on known form at the trip. Hey Day Baby is of interest on some 3 mile Irish P2P form but ran too freely at that trip last time so is another for whom the drop in trip may open some improvement. Sylvies Dance will probably need this off a 244 day break so we will TRACK this ex Paul Nicholls inmate forwards as she has shown some promise that has yet to be fulfilled but with a Yard that can be patient and revive similar types.

The value would appear to lie with DAMASK who has finished 3rd of 13 and 3rd of 14 on its last two Course visits and with a suspicion that 2 miles 5 furlongs just stretched her stamina, a return to this trip off a very similar mark suggests a very strong each way chance.

FENNEY BROOK has a Course and Distance win off a mark of 89 on Good to Firm Going, but wins on Soft and Good to Soft over further at Ludlow strongly suggests the horse is adaptable to most ground conditions and has assured stamina so a placed run should be the least of our expectations, the only IF is whether she is ready to go after a 119 day break but I'm happy to take that chance.
