Newbury 4.08
ROBIN - Newbury 4.08 Handicap Hurdle - Class 3 - 3 miles - 12 run - Good to Soft - Soft in Places - possible some rain moving across later
A competitive race and at the top of the market Destroytheevidence looks pretty solid with form figures of 2-1-1-2-4 and off a mark of 130 should run a favourites race but far from a certainty so you may consider a win saver or not. I won't be.
Mt Fuji Park went 1-1-1- for Jonjo before being pulled Up in deeper ground last time on handicap debut and at the price I find it impossible to really assess what the actual form is. Best watched I think. Makadet is up 12lbs for a win over 3 miles at Wincanton and frankly could be anything but he won't find it as hard to nick a race from the front down this long unforgiving Straight as he did around the turns of Wincanton. Stablemate Jatiluwih should not be written off and is actually a horse I found hardest of all to discard from the final choice.
I'm actually really keen on HERMINO AA for Gary Moore who has been in some deeper races than this and if you ignore latest run in unsuitable conditions and look at the runner up effort at Sandown on the run before and off a mark of 130, less a 5lbs Claim, does look VERY well handicapped to me.
Dan Skelton just leads the Trainers Championship race, and runs TAKE NO CHANCES who has form last season and earlier this and the PU last time was after a bad jumping error when bang in contention and I have more than a hunch that this one could be a very well handicapped horse just waiting to fire!
Tips (1) Hermino AA / (2s) Take No Chances
