Evidence yesterday was that it was very testing Going and with some obvious pace on here, I favour those proven over further and n soft/heavy than those with stamina to prove. A couple come in to the "could be anything" category, RUSSIAN HAWK for the Tizzards also has to prove form conclusively on "soft" whilst Henderson relies on BEFORE MIDNIGHT. This horse has proven stamina and ability in Going, an obvious improver, can't fathom out though why the price is as high as it is??, so I will have a small saver bet on him and include in Tricast.

 

Of the remained, many have to prove stamina and ability in conditions, Golden Hawk won in mud at Ffos Llas but has not proven form beyond this trip and is up 9lbs and may find that an anchor here. The pair i most like are CHAMPAGNE WELL who has every box ticked in terms of trip and further, soft and heavy , proven P2P form too and from a Yard who are best in this type of race with Paddy riding for Fergal - just like old times. The other slightly more speculative punt is TRIXSTER a solid and consistent horse, neither well or badly handicapped, a "what you see is what you get horse" whose best chance is the conditions and likely to plug on when others feel the pain. Has won in similar conditions off marks of 124 and 125, so off 129 today with a decent 7lbs Claimer, could be one for the enhanced places.
