Sandown 4.10

ROBIN - Sandown 4.10 Novice Handicap Hurdle - 2 miles 4 furlongs - Class 4 - 13 run - Good

I think this is a race that over the next 24-36 months we may come back to time and time again, the difficulty today will be deciding on who is ready to win now and who the slower but potentially more progressive medium term burners are.

HERMINO AA is progressing now, has a Cheltenham entry and would almost certainly need a penalty from winning this I think to get a run (if they want to run) and I'm therefore convinced here to win as why else would they run?. Howlingmadmurdock may need softer conditions and looks a bit more exposed than a few of the others. Plimsoll Line may just need this off a break of 4 months. Keep Running will win races for sure but this will be a tough ask off top weight. Snowy Evening has a 3 mile P2P background and should win races and one to add to the TRACKER along with Gweenie May Boy who looks a bit novicey and immature but one who will make up in to a winner for Jonjo and Regarde who is already in the Tracker and who could be on a very nice mark here on some collateral Irish P2P form. He came very close to a sporting e/w bet. In addition I'll add Always Busy to the Tracker too it won its maiden and makes handicap debut and is another who can have a very bright future.

On the day though I'd suggest a WIN bet on HERMINO AA and an each way bet on GET UP MUSH for Nick Skelton who also looks ready now to step up in to the Winners Enclosure. With 13 declared we again have most bookies enhancing to 4th place so my clear 3rd best rated HANDS OFF for the Henderson Team who ran out inexplicably when in a challenging position at Doncaster last time may be one that some of you would also like a small wager on to optimise the Bookies undoubted generosity. We'd normally go top 2 rated in a race with 13 so entirely at your discretion.

TIPS - (1) Hermino AA (win only) / (2) Get Up Mush / (3) Hands Off
