Wednesday 23rd March

Ffos Llas 3.40 - Handicap Hurdle - Class 4 - 3 miles - 11run - Good

An interesting race and a couple that will be going into the summer jumping trackers which are His Oscar from Rebecca Curtis yard and Glancing Glory from Kim Bailey yard. Both make handicap debut today and have come from P2P fields. We should have a good idea after today about what handicap mark they can be effective off and Track them accordingly from now on.

One we have tracked with some success is D'JANGO - he was a runner up last time tipped by us ay 16/1 and beaten only by the other tip in that race Chloes Court who won at 20/1. They finished well clear of Lightonthewing who reopposes today off just 1lb better for around 6 lengths and although the favourite at around 4/1 I've no qualms in tipping D'JANGO again off the same mark as last time, one of a glut of French imports from the Pipe yard that we are following.

Shah and Shah looks solid off the same mark it's been runner up the last twice off after a wind operation and Dynamite Kentucky looks about the right price too for Dr newland, very consistent but edging up in the weights and at the top end of the market, I don't think either are as likely to win or better value than D'JANGO.

SMASH THE LAMP won for Sean at Leopardstown at the very end of January off an Irish mark of 89, gets 14lbs more here but we regularly see what Irish Hurdlers can do over here and a Ferry Trip over to this outpost is probably an easier journey all told than parts of the middle of England. It's likely to make a bold effort and preferred to the likes of Judge Earl for the bowens who has struggles since a break of well over 800 days.

If there is one at the bottom end of the market worth a small flutter, its SHANTOU SUNSET, out of from Mare for the Hobbs yard but has got some sun on here back, better ground and no excuses not to try to replicate a win and runner up effort last May here and at Warwick and one who may be worth following now that we enter the Spring period.

TIP - D'JANGO / TRacker - Smash The Lamp / shrapnel - Shantou Sunset

LUDLOW 5.10 Handicap Hurdle - Class 4 - 2 miles 5 furlongs - Good - 11 run

A tricky little race but another with some possible value during this quiet week.

Equus Millar looks very short priced considering recent efforts, Crystal Gazing has been off for 158 days for Henderson but wins off a similar mark to give it every chance if fully fit. At the top end of the market though I prefer DAN CHOSEN an unexposed ex 3 mile P2P winner for the Hobbs yard who has been given time after Pulling Up in heavy January ground. I think it can step forward now and fulfil potential.

Faint Hope may just need the run, Glance From Clover , I think may need it a bit softer and also a bit further than this and could be taken out of its comfort zone early over this trip. Black Bubble and I'm So Busy may need the runs after breaks from local Yards and worth following once fit in this type of race.

Itacare is another ex French horse from the Pipe yard in the TRacker, it's not shown much over trips we think are too far and the same applies today, we're waiting for this one to drop to the bare 2 miles or 2 miles 2 furlongs in soft going, it's one they may put away now as the handicap mark drops but one to definitely follow in optimum conditions, which we will do.

If there is one lurking with some value it may be KNOWN for Jonjo. It's out of form so far this season but another who may welcome the Spring sun and a bit of warmth, it placed off a mark of 117 in similar conditions over this trip at Warwick before a wind operation and a repeat of that run would make it very interesting off a mark of 108.

TRACKER - Dans Chosen / Shrapnel - Known.
